Key Stage 1
Option 1:Â
Â
Our workshops offer immersive, interactive story readings that spark imagination and collaborative discussion.
Â
By incorporating tactile elements and open ended questions, we encourage children to explore environmental themes and develop foundational skills in communication and creative inquiry. Building on the foundation years, this approach also introduces creative activities such as drawing or simple projects, allowing children to interpret and express the story in new ways.
Â
Peer to peer feedback is encouraged, helping children develop empathy, active listening, and the ability to appreciate different perspectives. These experiences lay the groundwork for future learning in STEAM fields and nurture an early appreciation for teamwork and adaptability.
Option 2:
Â
Building on the foundation years, this playful framework invites children to design their own alien characters (linking to our All The Way To The Moon Book) and imagine the alien’s home. This creative process develops imagination, self expression and early design thinking.
Â
Children discuss the character and environment of their alien, linking to wider conversations about our own planet, habitats, and environmental awareness. Â
Â
Through these activities, children explore critical thinking about the world around them. Collaborative sharing further builds confidence, adaptability, and the foundations for future interdisciplinary learning.
